Unc file shares

I realize people may ask why would anyone want to configure their Antimalware Policy to only pull updates from a UNC file share but that is exactly what I am trying to test and it doesn't seem to work. Using the Create Antimalware Policy wizard, I created a policy that only has the "Update from UNC file shares" for the Set Source option and set the proper paths to the latest definition files mpam-fe. I then install the SCEP client using that policy and when the SCEP client tries to update the definitions for the first time, it fails and all attempts after that.

So Garth, you've actaully created a policy with just using UNC file share as your only source and it worked for you? I know you say their good, but how is have those file permissions been set up?
