Now that you've got your basic pond built, now you can add some accessories - including flora and fauna. However it's worth noting that if you get 10 deathfish you can stock your pond with them and they'll be there all day, not just during the middle of the night. Of course you're probably already doing pretty well for yourself if you have 10 deathfish to spare, but then again maybe not. If you can manage to catch one deathfish in Sunset Valley you can take it to the science facility and feed it to the Omni Plant in their garden, then come back the next day and harvest several of them.

Good way to rack 'em up early on. It's not worth stocking a pond with deathfish. I've used up 40 deathfish from stocking ponds already. Each 10 creates 1 fishing point. None of them ever went active, even the one I put into a community lot that had fishing points which were all active.
