I searched for all files on my system that contained "GWX" in the name. I found some directories that appeared to be related AMD chips and even though my system is Intel based I renamed all those directories.

In the future I will check every single update via Google search before applying to make sure it is not preping my machine for Windows 10 or trying to install Windows I am a windows 8. My update is set to notify me of updates but to let me decide when to download and install.

When I ran windows update it told me it would update to Windows I selected "show all available updates" and it shows 1 Optional update named "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home" it was checked.

I unchecked it and right clicked it setting it to Hidden. I rebooted and went to the Windows Update screen of the Control Panel and it showed the "Upgrade to Windows 10" update as ready to install. I once again selected "show all available updates" and it again shows 1 Optional update named "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home" as checked and it is no longer hidden. How do I set this upgrade to hidden and have it remain hidden until I decide I want to use it?
